Need advice on TA fixed headlight conversion

It's been a while since I read the whole thread, so I forgot you've had that planned for some years now. It just seems like for such a large space, one little light would have a hard time filling it up. It just seems like an incomplete canvas in a way. So much space and so much potential.. I don't know. I think it would look killer to keep the quad lights but angle them slightly like this.
--_ [bumper] _--
-- being the low beams and _ being the high beams. Keep the projector up high like you have it mocked up there and a high beam slightly lower and closer to the edge of the bumper. Would be pretty evil looking IMO.

I think your forgetting these lights are not going to be seen. They will looked closed in the day time as the lense will be smoked.

Wow, I started this thread in 2005. Thats 5 years of stock headlight aggravation.
Not much has happened lately as I don't drive the car anymore. I did make a new steel headlight cover that extends forward giving it a smooth look. I need to make a second one and then make the sealed housing to hold the projectors.
I'd like to start driving it again, so I might get back to work on this project.

For those looking for a nice inexpensive HID bi-zenon projector, I'm gonna recommend these units.

I bought a set several months ago and installed them in my Thunderbird housings and they've worked great, great beam pattern and small physical deminsions. I think I paid $130 for the pair with ballasts. The ones on my car are not sealed in the far rear, but I've had no moisture problems at all.
Concerning my Trans Am, I've been planning on building some fixed headlights using projector lenses. Now I'm thinking of moving the projectors down to the turn signal locations.
I know there are headlight height laws here in TX and that this new location is lower than the law allows. Do you think I'd be able to pass the annual inspection? Inspectors don't check that, do they?

A fan of the headlights mounted in the turn signal location? No one would know unless there turned on.
The law says they need to be 24"+ inches high. Stock lights are right at 24". The turn signal location is 9" lower, so that would be 15" high. Hmmmm
