Default anyone wax chrome rims ???

i have been hearing that people are waxing their chrome rims.

what wax do u use? is there anything specific?

when i bought my chromes i was told to only use windex to clean them. windex is suppose to be gentle.

I wax my wheels all the time. makes it easier to clean of brake dust down the road.
you can pretty much use any wax for cars. just apply it like you are waxing your car.

you dont have the use windex to clean your wheels. soap and water will be just fine.

I have not heard of waxing your rims before but in the hood they use vasoline on thier rims to make them shine.

Waxing chrome wheels is fine as the others have stated. Try not to use one with carnuba in it though. Carnuba will actually grab and hold brake dust which is not a good thing. Just my thought though.

I just polish mine with Wenol and call it done. I've used wax on top of the polish before, but the shine doesn't seem to be as nice.

I use Mothers Chrome Polish as well, easily gets rid of water spots that windex can't seem to completely remove
