I would have already sent you a wheel if it was my dd. Plus, since i'm in high school I dont have any way of having the car down for any length of time. If it was during the summer you would already have your answer. The only reason I posted this ? was because I figured so many parts of the corvette and f-body are interchangeable, that why not get a better looking steering wheel, that has an air bag, and doesnt look like it out of a bus. Wish I could be the test dummy, but I need my car. If someone does do this, and it works, post up, I wanna see the results and get one for myself.

Besides the engine and wheels, what else is interchangable? You need brackets to ADAPT the brakes and seats, so these are not interchangable....

Just curious and..................

Well, I meant that you could use various parts. I know you need adapters, should have been more specific. My bad.

I hate to resurrect a thread from the dead, but has anyone noticed that the Camaro steering wheel is the same as the Lumina steering wheel? I owned one and my little brother now owns one, its the same wheel. Being that the Lumina and that same year Monte Carlo are quite similar could we then be able to look for that year aftermarket steering wheels as well?

And has anyone put a vette wheel on their f-body yet?

I'm resurrecting this thread as well, I just wanted to know if I could put the smaller diameter pre 2000 Camaro steering wheel into a post 2000 Camaro wheel. But any info on the Vette wheel also. Anyone done this yet?

I know some people on ls1tech have a vette and an fbody, someone just needs to take both steering wheels off and try to see if they fit or how their different. if you see someone has a vette and a fbody just show them this thread.

Edit: just saw a pic thread SnakeStomper posted and hes got a corvette and an fbody.

The hard one to come by seems to be the one of the Vette steering wheel (judging from the amount of replies of Vette owners). It would be nice to compare electrical connections, splines, etc. If I get a chance this week, I will try and price a C5 steering wheel from a salvage handler that sometimes deals with wrecked Vettes. Best regards to all.

i found pics of both on ebay and i posted those in another thread. keep in mind that youd loose the stereo controls if you have them...but the 99+ grand am steering wheel might work (in pontiacs of course) and would retain the stereo controls.

I didn't read any of the posts in this topic (...LOL) but I didn't see any pics, so thought I'd provide one. I saw this Camaro for sale online, and it has a Corvette steering wheel.
