Default Cracked paint

Long story short, last weekend I lost control of my car and wound up goin off on the side of the road. Popped my front left ground effect off (one piece, no damage to the ground effect) and i was lookin at the bumper alil closer today while i was goin over it w/ some scratch X and notice that in a few spots where there was stress on the bumper when the ground effect popped off, the paint is cracked alil.

My question is, how much more will this detiorate? No paint has actually come off the car, its just got alil spider webbing crack in a spot or two. Will the paint eventually start to come off? Or will it just stay cracked like it is?

If it's just spider webbing from the bumper flexing it should be fine over time. It shouldn't start getting worse or flaking. If you find that you can't live with it any longer, most shops will respray a whole bumper cover for about $350.

My car has the spiderweb thing on the front bumper from where the previous owner scraped the front end on something. Its been there for at least two years and 30K miles. The spider web hasn't changed one single bit. I need the front of the car resprayed, lots of chips in the hood and front clip

When i bought my car it had a spider webbing problem on the very tip of the nose. I periodically checked the webbing, and noticed that from when i bought it 2 years ago April it had gotten worse by 4.5" so i do not believe that it does not worsen. Get it fixed as soon as you can, or you will notice alot more stress cracking in your paint. The cold weather especially aids in that. Just my experience.

Ok, so the consensus is that it'll be ok for atleast a year or two. After I get out of school and stop taking the 190mile road trips on 35 i plan on getting the whole front end/maybe whole car repainted.

Yeah, you should be fine. Waiting to take care of it would make sense.

Thanks!!! The wheels have been sold and the car is sitting on slicks and skinnies now. Looks kinda neat to see a drag car slammed with ground effects.
