TRUE FIRE UPDATE - please? hey not long ago there was a guy that took an amazing attempt at painting the true fire flames. he did 2 attempts and said he was going to try it on his bird next. any updates anybody? pics?

thank you, IMO his flames look better than the other guy famous for them (forgot his name - lavelle maybe?) for the simple fact that they dont follow the basic layout for a flame, like a true fire indeed.

Thanks guys for the comments. I finally made it out to a car show with the hood painted. I didnt enter it into the show but ended up having people swarming my car in the parking lot to check out the paint. Probably gave my number out to about 50 people who were looking for something similar. Several people wanted to do it on a red base color which i havent tried yet. However i have a neighbor with a red 95 cobra with the clear chipping off that said i can have free reign on his car. Figured i would give the true fire on red a shot and if it didnt work out I wouldnt feel too bad cause its on a ford. No, but i really think it should come out ok just not the cool effect that black has.
I'd like to see more pictures. Looks like you did a vey good job.
Should have it done by this weekend and i will post some decent pics up in a new thread so you can get the full effect.

Very cool that you have tackled doing the "true fire" thing yourself! Hey, you should check out www.tulsafbody.com and come to a meeting or an event. Next sunday, we are having a little get together at sonic at 101st & Elm. You should come and show your amazing work to some local f-bnody guys

I will definately have to come to one of your get togethers and check out everyones car. I live in Broken Arrow so I cant complain about the location.
