Default Red calipers

OK the color theme for my T/A is black and silver/chrome
Would red calipers look wildly ot of place, or would they serve to add a splash of color.
Opinions?

What would you use to Polish the Calipers? I have been trying to figure it out- also, I feel red would look great especially if you have those Last of the Breed Badges-It goes well with the Turn Signals and Taillights as well. Black and red =

Polished would be optimal, but red would work.

painted with 1200* header paint about 6 months ago Duplacolor ceramic got at Advance Auto,At first I polished them but they were exstremly hard to keep clean and shinny the heat and brake dust and water spots would stick and had to take the rims off to clean they were to hard to maintain and after painting ,all i haft to do wipe them off and they have a glossy finish.

If you have a dremel you can use the coarse sanding bands to sand away the casting flash. Just be careful not to sand in one area too much. Then sand with a sanding block with 600grit. If you are really wanting a great polished finish then continue after the 600 grit with 1000 and then 1500. Then start polishing them with a dremel using a polishing compound of your choice.

So how long will the polished finish last on a daily driven car?
Should it be clearcoated after polishing, or would the heat discolor the clear?

You will probably be polishing them at least one a week to keep up it's luster.
Just ask the "polish" master tod2001ss. He would definately know.

I polish mine. I find they are easier to keep clean.

You can never go wrong with red calipers.. that is why many auto mfg's use that color on thier performance models..

Here is a pic of my new setup..I have the same setup(Colorwise) ..Im sorry if you cant really see the red..But it looks badass, the silver makes the red standout very well. Here is a pic, if you want more just let me know.
