Default Caliper Decal questions...

Are they worth it?

What is the best way to apply them?

Who has them the cheapest?

Where can i find some for the rear, most say they only have them for the front and i can't seem to find any rear ones, just fronts? Will the fronts fit the rear as well?

Thanks fellas

I went with AfterThoughtsAuto.com. They were high quality, came with directions, and great price

I just stuck them on over the high temp clear. They only come in a brushed aluminum color but well worth it in my opinion.

I think you would have to have something custom made to fit the rears

How's it look without them on the back? I'm very curious

The back would be too much IMO. Just do the fronts.

The ones on the back are good. I have them all around and the ones for the back usually come in the set. They are usually just the "Z28" or the "SS". I have the red, and I dont think its too much at all.... my opinion only...

What else is everyones answers to those ?'s

one more question Kinda off topic-

Should I:
a) clean the caliper mounting bracket frame
b) Paint It Red like the caliper
c) paint it black
d) Polish it up nice and shinny like chrome
Please state why you would do other than RED and why you would or wouldn't do red (I only have red paint right now and would like opinions so i kno if i SHOULD by black or other prodcut to do the bracket frame)

I sanded the fronts of my calipers and caliper brackets smooth. Painted, wet sanded, applied decal, then clear coated the caliper. The brackets I just painted and didn't bother with the wet sanding or clear coating.

Mine were previously painted, so I had them sandblasted. After they were sandblasted I cleaned them off really well, painted them red/black, applied the Afterthoughts Auto decal on them, and clearcoated over it.

Here's what they came out like:

calipers are easier to clean if you clear over the decals.

I got my decals from Ebay, you can get an assortment of colors... they work great and have withstood some serious heat from race track runs and canyon carving. The paint worked awesome too.. I used VHT caliper paint. Havent had any problems.. no fading and easy to clean.

For what its worth.. the first pic is when I first put them on the car.. the bottom 2 are taken last week, more then a year after the first pic.

My calipers are all black with silver camaro letters. I think red with silver letters would look good on NBM.
Here is mine

All of these look really good. I have them on a red caliper too. To make sure they stuck on there, I used clear nail polish. I just brushed over the decal and they sealed up pretty good. Check out my home page in my sig for pics.

So red, w/ Chrome or Silver decals, and a Silver bracket would look best? or the black bracket?
