Thank you for letting me know about the PM. I might not have seen the PM if you didnt mention it.

Price for the gauge pod. $200.00 for those who are interrested. Otherwise I really had no intention to sell my design.

thanks for the info! the autometer 200mph speedo is mech. not electric, so its kinda out of the question, im kicking around the idea of using a smaller speedo, instead of the 5", but ill get in touch with you.

Did you get the machining quoted on a CNC, mill, or waterjet? I have worked all three and for this type of plate cutting, a waterjet would be way less expensive then machining and accurate enough (within a couple thousands) for mounting gages. Just wanted to suggest a way to lower the machining cost...

Keep in mind I designed this in Solid works and Autocad. I had no intensions of selling this at all. Matter fact I have never sold any of my ideas or products I design to anyone. I never once brought up the idea to sell this gauge pod. It was mentioned several times so I looked into it.
The machine cost isnt that high but I still have design, cut, and weld on 4 tabs. And the tabs are adjustable. $200.00 is nothing.
If you paid someone to design this, mock it up to fit, then machine it all out. You would be well over $200.00 guaranteed.
Have a nice weekend. I will check this again on Monday.

Can the Autometer speedo/odo be calibrated to the miles on the current stock odometer?

Umm I have a question. How would these gauges work with a stock pcm... what I mean is... a stock pcm needs a speed reference for the vehicle to be able to shift. But the aftermarket gauge must have its own reference. Not sure which type of signal either use but I doubt both could work together. Just wondering.

I won't be using the stock type trans for long ut this is just an idea for people to think about.

I'de love to do it though.

Man thats awesome! I understand the work, I did this to my chevelle in the winter. The plate I used is a realistate sign. Works great, lots of work and yes it indeed is expensive.

Speedo isnt hooked up yet and its electronic so its still at 20. You should have seen my 2002 gauge cluster. The needle was past 150mph.

I am not 100% certain how this would all hook into a 4th gen Trans am or camaro but all you would normally have to do is wire into the sending unit of each item. Oil, temp, tach, speedo, fuel.

PM anwered and thats a good idea about selling the gauge pod without the holes in it as another option. Then people can put whatever they want in there.

That turned out nice. Dramatic before and after pics like that are my favorite.

I should have all these gauges fully functional by the end of the week. Hopefully. Just waiting for my friend to pick up the sending units so I can install them.

Somewhere on e-bay over 2 or 3 years ago. Keep in mind this is all in a 69 Camaro but I think those pedals fit anything.

T/y

Jason99T/A seems to be very interrested in this gauge pod without the holes cut into it so he can add his own gauge holes. So he is first on the list in my first post.
Update will be coming soon of all the gauges fully functional. I will post a video.

Default Great job!!!!

I am definitely interested, count me in. One question: all the gauges plug in to the original adapters or do you have to have a special connection, How accurate are they?

I just wired all the gauges over the weekend and they work perfect. The only one that doesnt work perfect is my gas gauge only because my stock tank sending unit is messed up. But all other gauges work and are extremely accurate. I will hopefully have a video to post within a week or 2. I have my windshield out of the car right now because I am working on the transition piece for where the old dash meets the new dash. Im making it out of 16-20 gauge sheet metal. ONce I finish it and get my windshield installed I can take the car for a drive again and get video.
Someone sent me a PM asking what the turn around time for these would be. I would ship these out a couple days after I recieved payment.

No they dont plug into original adapter. You will have to wire the entire thing from scratch. The easy part is all of you guys already have the original electronic sending units. I had to buy all of mine since this is in a 69 Camaro. You will just have to wire to those sending units. A lot easier for you.
Gauges are extremely accurate. If your still interrested I will add you to the list.
