Like somone sprayed clearcoat over the pen striping damnit! how much do you think it would be to get the pin striping removed and clear coat fixed will i have to repaint??

damn that sucks. The clear coat is coming off my DD and I don't want to spend the money to paint it.
I can't help you on cost, but I'd guess that any reputable shop can fix you up just fine.

try a heat gun or a blow dryer ....it will help loosen the glue and wont take the clear with it.

looks like his strips have clear over them though...

I'd jsut start asking for estimates, go ahead and get some spots touched up etc while you are doing it... some wetsand/buffing to rid of some orange peal aswell.

it sounds like the door was damaged, repainted, and they had to blend the fender to get it to match...the clear can come off with the stripe if its been freshly painted...just a missunderstanding....can you say maaco?? hh

My boss does that stupid crap, it' s a lazy way of doing it. What he normally does, is masks off the pinstripe, for paint, then removes the masking tape and clears everything. For an older car where you can' t replace the striping because it' s faded, this would be an almost acceptable method. For no longer than it takes, the whole car can be re-striped for a better job. You don' t want to have to replace it on an older car though, because that can be very time-consuming. Older striping is normally stuck pretty well.

No idea on pricing, since I don' t deal with estimate, but they should be able to take care of you within a day or two.
