How was this caliper Painted? I stumbled across this picture and would love to have my calipers that color. I am curious as to whether or not the owner of that car had his calipers powdercoated or painted and if painted was it a kit or done professionally? Also how much do you think it would cost to have my calipers powdercoated Electron Blue? Thanks

If I'm not mistaken, you can get any factory paint code from duplicolor in a spray can. Just follow one of several caliper painting methods and you'll be all set. BTW, I don't know if Camaro SS was painted on there or if those are decals. I have vinyl decals just like that.
Its painted with duplicolor "Metalcast" paint system. It is a 2 part spray in a can. Supposed to look like anodized. I got mine from Wal Mart (in red). The base is silver and then you lay the color (they have several to choose from), being calipers I would also follow up when it is tacky with about 2 to 3 coats of clear.

it could be powdercoated to. A buddy of mine does that and can make that color, first you put down a basecoat that looks pretty much like chrome. Then you spray the transparent electric blue over top. It looks amazing when it is done, and the powdercoat is stronger, and in my opinion looks better also, don't have to worry about fisheye, and it usually lays down perfect so you don't have to worry about any kind of sanding or anything.

I used the G2 caliper paint system and it looks almost identical (as far as color) to the calipers at the beginning of the thread. Its a brush on style thats almost an epoxy like (2 part paint) paint. I was really happy with the results.
yeah i do powdercoating also. You can spray a chrome base or you can just put a candy blue over a polished metal and it looks anodized and then the more coats of candy blue you bake on, the darker it gets
