I'd like to see pics if you do. I think it would look pretty cool. Especially lowered with some bigger wheels. You always see it on older cars but not on the newer ones. Later.

Yeah Im not so sure that look is ok for a newer Fbody. Ive seen some with an unpainted hood and fasica at the track sometimes but thats about it. I just dont think an all flat black 4th gen would look like anything other than a car thats waiting for a paintjob.

You don't think this truck looks good? I think an F-body would look pretty mean with that paint. I have always thought that when you see a car that is primmered or flat black that they spent all of the money on go-fast parts instead of making it look good. Which is cool in my book.

The pinstripping adds another dimension making it even cooler. Old skool mixed with new. I love old hotrods just as much if not more than newer cars. I just couldn't pass up the chance to be the first owner of a new 4th gen camaro.

I can honestly say that I don't think a 4th gen would look cool with flatblack and "big wheels" and I can definitely say I don't think that truck looks good. It's like a ghetto fabulous rat rod, expensive rims and cheap *** primer.

Edit: and while I can understand that you might think they spent all the money on go fast parts, but those "big wheels" are hampering the go fast parts. Adding "dubs" to a Camaro can make you lose 15 HP to the wheel easilly.

I gotta say Im not feeling that truck at all, and I dont even think a paintjob can help change my mind. But like they say, to each their own. If you decide to do it, post pics, Id certainly like to see.

Well, not sure if I'd be willing to do something like that but I do have some hail damage that needs taken care of this winter. Maybe I can take some transition pics. But that would be gray primer.

I don't like that look at all. I've never seen a 4th gen like that and I hope I don't.

That is a look for old Bugs and hot rods, not for newer cars.

thats flat black.. a matte black would look good on any car if done properly, expecialy if you had black or polished aluminum wheels on the car along with dark tint, i need to tint the windows on my IROC...

not feeling the primer on an f-body, too mad max for me. I do like the blacked out look of a gnx. it looks clean, primer makes it just look ghetto.

When you drive a vehicle that has been primered, it looks like you can't afford to do the job right.

It drives me nuts to see primer on a vehicle forever. Primer is used to help give the paint something to grab on to, it' s something most people should never have to see. I know some of you like this look, but obviously I' m not alone in my anti-primerism...so please take this with a grain of salt. Like other people have said, it makes you look like you couldn' t afford a complete paint job.

I see cars all the time in the transition for a make-over. There used to be a black Nissan (I think...couldn' t tell anymore) with white bumpers. He put them on, but couldn' t afford to paint them first....saw this car in this state for ATLEAST 6 months, then he finally Kryloned them. There is another car around, I think it' s a Honda a red 4-door model with a GREEN primered body kit!! There is also a Dodge Dakota here, that has these black stripe like things down the sides, but everything above or below that, is primered! Ya know, old two-tone style. I don' t understand how they think that **** looks good. If I changed out parts, or wanted a paintjob, I wouldn' t do ****, until I had everything ready, and enough money to paint it all at one time. Just to prime a vehicle is going to take a good bit of money...why not spend a little more and go with another color, if you just want to be different? Just please don' t go with some ghetto color that doesn' t flow with the car. Also, on a primered car, what if a bird ***** on it? Can you get all of that back off the car? What if it was a berry-eating bird? The only upsides to having a primered car, would be: A) You don' t have to wash it. B) Less likely of beind stolen or broken into, because they' ll just think you' re some broke-***. and C) You probably wouldn' t have to worry about birds even wasting their time to **** on it!

As far as that truck...he obviously spent more money on the wheels than anything else short of the truck itself. The primer really looks dumb on it with big *** blingy wheels. For maybe $500 more he could have had paint and clear sprayed, and he coulda saved that much money by going with a more sensible-sized wheel.

That third-gen, just looks like some old lady bought it and let it sit in the front yard since the late-80's. Somethin just ain' t right when the windows, headlights, and wheels shine more than the body. That would be a gorgeous car with a good coat of black, or any color as long as it shines!
