Default need help with buying a wrecked car

I found a 95 camaro that hit a tree head on for cheap. Question is, it is fine from the doors back, everything opens fine, and fits tight, but the passenger side shock tower is back about 1 1/2" the other side is fine. Do you guys think a frame machine would have a hrd time pulling it out that little bit, and how much should I expect for that? I am going to change it over to a 98+ front end, so none of the rest of it would really be used. Oh, the motor did drop out of the K-member too. Thanks guys

here's one pic of it. He blacked out, and left the road, hitting a tree.

Anything can be fixed but you have to figure out if the investment is worth it. If it were me I would personally keep looking. This is definately a good parts donor car but as far as putting it back on the road I think I would pass.

Good luck in what ever you decide!

Buy it for parts or not at all. You can get a LS1 car for about the same money you would have to put in that to get it fixed. I don't care what anybody says. Once you wreck a Camaro and tweek the frame. It will never be the same without major work and money.

pass.

I am NOT a body guy nor a mechanic though. I dont want to tell you what you SHOULD do but what I WOULD do.

Why invest all the time and energy and money into a plain jane camaro?

Take your money.. save some more.. and buy a nice camaro already in good shape.

thats what I WOULD DO.

You could put it together with this one:

But seriously, like the others said, you can find one that's not wrecked for a good price.

Autotrader has 171 listings for Camaros under $2K.

Seems like alot of work, when you can get a Camaro for under $2k, if all you're going to do is make a drag car out of it, look for one with a blown motor. Gonna be quite a bit of $$$$ to do the frame and the other work (unless you got a bodyshop hookup), so I'd keep looking

Actually, I have 3 buddies that do body/frame work, and one has already offered to look at it, and fix it, cheap. I am going to get it, and if the repair is too much, part it out. I know I can make my money back. Thanks for all the opinions.

For $300, buy it and part it out. You'll get that back very easily. Good doors, glass, rear... easy.

If you got time to do a drag car, having a parts donor and parting out car around should be cake.
