What i mean is that, the kits have a cut off built in to them. The main issue with running HID's that cause people to have to modify things is glare and unaimed light blinding other drivers, with the built in cutoff that is no longer an issue. I know that on RX7's these lights without any modification to headlight housings etc. produced at least triple the light output. However for optimal light output on any vehicle you would want to switch to a projector housing/lens designed for HID's.
As i dont own a T/A or Camaro i cant comment on sealed beam conversions as i have no idea what they are (though i will do a few quick searches and post sometime later once i have a rough idea)

I cant comment on the depth of the stock T/A headlight housing but most of the rx7 guys just mount this new HID in their stock housing. Kaixen sells replacement HID lighting for all size (9003,9004,9005,9006,H3,H4 etc etc) of light (i assume that T/A's dont use H4 like rx7's do).
Of course for optimal performance for your money (which it seems to me every true car guy and girl wants) you should use some kind of aftermarket housing. These typically sell for around $30-$40 each.

Without a projector you wont have the ultra sharp cutoff you see on cars with stock HID's(the s2000 has an amazingly sharp cutoff for instance) however with this you still have a cutoff which though not razor sharp it still keeps glare affecting other drivers to a minimum. Even without projectors its nowhere near as bad as the civics or other ricers you see driving and blinding everyone.

I already had my wiring upgraded for the 70w Eurolamps bulbs. The difference with having HIDs is HUGE! I don't think I'll ever own a car without HIDs again. In attempt to describe it, it's like blacklight on the color of white. Everything just stands out way more and it's way easier on your eyes.
