There is nothing wrong with it, if you like Super Sport more than Z option 28 then by all means put an ss hood and wing on. who cares, its not like there is an engine difference, its just an apearance package, like me having an RS Z28 and taking off the rs kit, does that make me a poser?

Thats totally wrong.. If they were to badge the car as a Z06 then its stupid.. No one with Z06 rims are saying they are a corvette..

IMO i dont see why... be proud of yer z28.... everyone talks ss'es so much anyway when really theres no difference but what a hood and a spoiler.... thats why i got my z28.... that couple thousand dollars for a hood n spoiler package isnt worth it.... but do what you want

You know.. back in the day the z28 was the one everyone wanted. not the SS

the z28 was like a hidden option and if you got it, you won the races haha.

It's been this way since ever.
Put the bades on if you want to, but I would definately advise against it.
Why would you want to?
It's an SS Clone, not an SS.
If you want to put SS(clone) badges on, then do it.
Be proud that you bought a Z, and did the appearance mods yourself.
That's a good thing.
Buying it modded from the factory isn't impressing anybody.

I've got a Z28 with a 98+ SS hood and spoiler. Doesn't mean that I claim my car to be an SS. If I were to actually put an SS badge on my car, that would be making an incorrect statement.

No, Mecham. I don't believe the LT1 style spoiler uses the newer style third brake light.

I think many years down the road, it wont be such a big deal because you see sooo many camaro SS clones from the 60's at car shows today but still, its what comes from the factory that counts, the numbers dont lie.
