Custom Trans Am Projection Headlights
I'm quite hesitant to post this (I can live without the negative comments), but this is what I have been working on for the last 2 weeks, there is still a lot of work to be done (but you can get the idea what it will look like). I think it's turning out pretty well! I also added more pics to my Car Domain website, and more photos of the work it took to do the headlights.
They are being made with Hella 90mm modules and 50mm modules (the 50mm are the low beam and the 90mm are the high beam)
I have to fiberglass the gap in the bumper and add the corner to the fender (where the tape is), then I can mold the housing and cut the polycarbonate for the covers.
More pics...

Once I get it looking more complete I'll post more pics.

you've got one mean look bird there! I've always wanted to try and do something like that before, but every measurement i've ever taken and all the angles I've "proposed" the light to be at have always come out to where the light would be cut off by the front bumper! But I see that you have mad a solution for that but cutting that part out! Nice work man can't wait to see the finished product!

Lookin really impressive man. I have never seen custom work on a bird like that before. I'm diggin the side vents and the little extra you've added to the front bumper to go wit the hood. Good luck with the rest of the projectors and other mods. Def get some pics up.

that setup is amazing!!! i wanted to do something very similar with my 01 t/a, but i am no good with body work so i stayed with the flip up style of head lights and put my projectors in where the low beam was. it was very simple once i came up with the brackets. check it out here http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/view...hlight=#106504. i want to eventually redo the covers in fiberglass and as one flowing pice, but i just havent had the time. one question for you, are the 90mm hellas going to be hids also? i only ask because you said that they are for the brights and the constant on off style that most people use the brights for is actually horrible for the ballasts. also, most hid bulbs take up to 10-15 seconds to reach full output, and thats just not real practical for function, but the form would be awesome. bottom line, awe inspiring is the only way to describe what you've got going on.

That's a pretty amazing job, very original tail light idea, custom vent work. Nice modification to the front bumper too. Id be lying if I said I loved the green, but it isn't disgusting or anything lol. Nice car
