Default LT1 tail lights or LS1 tail lights...?

Which do you think look better on a Black 2000 Z28? I like how the lines of the LT1 tail lights flow with the hatch and rear. Also, I like how it eliminates that orange strip. Are the harnesses compatiable, and will the blinker function properly without any modifications? What do you guys think?

I like the exports on a camaro the best, but between the ls1 and lt1 lights I would go with ls1 lights

I'm another for exports, I like the fact that the LT1 lights are all red, minus the reverse, and they flow better, when they are on, its not as clean cut and sharp as the LS1 and export lights, its really hard to explain. do you know what i mean?

In order I like, exports, LT1, then LS1's. I have exports on my LT1 and my LS1 Camaro's.

If you're going with clear or smoked corners, then I'd say LT1 tails (that would look best on a Black Z). They obviously were the original design for the 4th gen rear end which is why they follow the body lines. I'm not a big fan of the import tails. Too much amber, especially if the car has clear corners. I don't understand why guys do that. If you've got amber on the rear, then keep it on the front. And, definitely if you've got import tails… keep the amber corners. If you've got LT1 tails, go with the clear or smoked corners. Just my $0.02

I was thinking of getting the LT1's since I want the clear corners. I wonder how good the LT1 tails, a SS style spoiler (not sure of the stock lift or a slightly larger lift), and a CME setup would look. I will probably go that route.

Funny how you camaro fellas like the LT1 lights over the LS1 lights, meanwhile us firebird guys circle like vultures waiting for pairs of LS1 tails to turn up.

97+ 'Bird tails RULE! I wanted to put a set on my 95 V6 when I had it. Never happened though. I LOVE my exports that I just got a few months ago. I tinted some stock LS1 lights last year and ran those for a few months.

I never liked the export lights at all. LT1 lights look great but they are not 100% compatable. You'll either need to solder in LT1 sockets or use a dremel to modify the LT1 housing so you can snap in the LS1 sockets. They also won't light up like the LT1s and I don't think that the blinkers will work the same. I think that you'll only be able to make the inner red part blink which would look kinda funny.
