I need help guys, can someone photoshop a rear berger panel for me. I want to see how it will look if I leave the camaro sign red instead of all black. Also I have a bodyshop that will paint both my rear panel and my air ram horns black. But I see that people rear panels when black isn't shiny black. What should I tell the autobody shop on what type of black to paint the panel with. Or does it look dope having it shiny black? What looks better? Help guys, I would like to do this asap. Thanks everyone!

A couple words of advice for you:
-This topic has been gone over countless times. I'd suggest using the search function for "Berger panel" or "black tail panel", maybe even just "tail panel". It will turn up numerous threads that correspond with the exact questions you're looking to have answered here. You'll find pics and many things that others have done.
To answer some of your questions: Some people do the rear panel in a flat or matte black (not shiny) because it's a bit more nostalgic and looks retro. Other people like myself, like the panels to be glossy because it either looks better or goes better with the overall look of the car. It's really personal preference. Either way, I'd suggest some sort of fill-ins for the rear Camaro lettering on the panel. Some like to keep it body color as you suggested, but I think that it goes better with either vinyl fill-ins or stainless steel ones. As I said, try a search and find tons of pics of each. That should help you make up your mind about what you personally like. Good luck!

wow thanks for the pictures and the help guys. I tried doing a search but was really trying to look for one with red fill in's. And someone just placed one here for me, thanks bro. And I'm going to have it glossy which is basically like the rest of the car correct?

GMMG did them ONLY in a matte black, they were never available in a glossy black. but it is up to personal preferrence if you want them in glossy black. if i were to get it on my red SS i'd get it in matte only cause my front facia is matte so it'd match. hope to see it on here and NorCal-LS1 soon!!!

Nice camaro yo, mines going to look like that too since my car is red too. When you get your red inserts in can you take a picture and send them over to me. I'm not sure if I should have the bodyshop paint the whole thing black or leave the camaro sign red.

NIce cars guys i think that i am going to do it to mine instead of talking about it. Especially if you are going with the black theme as the accent color for you're red Z like i am.
CamaroZ do you have anymore pictures of yours ? WHat shade of black did you use then added the clearcoat too ?
thanks

Well I'm bringing mine to the bodyshop on Monday to have my horns painted and I'm just going to have them use the same black on the horns to use on the rear panel. It'll be glossy and the paint will last longer and not fade (thats what I've been told)

Finally got my car back guys and dang it looks pretty freak'n dope. I took pictures but wont be able to upload them till tonight cause there on my bro's digital cam and he's going to email me the pictures. I had a change of mind last minute before I left the shop yesterday. Instead of doing the horns I went ahead and just pained the whole ramair all the way down to the tip of the hood. I had the bodyshop adobeshop which one I wanted to do and I liked the one I picked. The berger does look real good on red camaros, especially in person. I can't wait to have pictures up to show you guys, woohoo. Thanks for the help everyone!
