Ok, so I was looking at my car and the overall theme it's got going is black and red. I just put in the black halos and the clear corners with black housing in the front, and I like the look this created, but now the hood looked kind of dull to me, something's missing. I am not a big fan of painting the scoop black, or painting the area in front of the scoop black, plus I wanted to do something that would break the bank, something that I can do, and something that adds to my "race deterrent" plan.
I don't like to race, too riksy here coz we have too many cops with nothing to do, so I started modding the car by making it look more aggressive (hood, exhaust, big tires out back, and cam and headers to back the looks up with sound). I also put that Police Interceptor badge on the back coz some idiots actually think my car is an undercover cop car.
So as the final step, I put the Horsepower stickers on my hood which I had made at a vinyl shop for 10 bucks. If you are wondering how I got 443, well, that's what the guy at my dyno shop calculated... 375.5 x 1.18 is 443 at the engine....he used 18% driveline loss. Considering that I dynoed at a super humid and hot day, I suppose that's about right.
Anyhow, I am gonna start explaining now why I did this, and will just show you the picture:
I actually like it, doesn't really stick out like a sore thumb in my opinion. And if the Dale Earnhard Intimidator can have 381 hp on his hood, then I can put 443 on mine, after all, it's not a ficticious number.
So take it easy on me guys.....
And it's not rice! The muscle cars of yore had HP numbers on their hood too

Since you actually calculated the number and didn't pull it out of the sky like a ricer, I think it's a great addition to the car that won't really be noticed while moving, but while parked will be sure to get people talking

Meh...I dunno...
There was a Dick Harrell car at G9 and the cowl sticker said 500HP...then the dyno graph was 448 or something...I thought it was super gay.
I am gonna put 550HP on the back of my ws6...but only once I have a dyno graph saying that number at the tires...not some flywheel calculation.

Hehe, the keyword of your statement is "back of your car" where the rear tires are. Mine's on the hood, where the engine and the flywheel is...
Like I said, it's a race deterrent....so I had to go with the higher number, most people don't understand the concept of 375 rwhp....the first thing I'd hear from a GTO driver is that his/her car has 400
Thanks for the supportive oppinons guys!

I like to under rate mine. Mine dynoed at 327.8 stock which is about 380hp at the flywheel. But it's an SLP 345HP package car so I stuck the 345HP on the hood. I have a new manta stripe and have my numbers just above the stripe just behind the inlet of the scoop. I think it looks better farther forward on the scoop.

I like it too, I am no a huge fan of the Manta Stripe, or the front black area either, and I've been looking for something that is very subtle. I do however like the 35th anniversary stripe and was thinking of doing that with the HP sticker. I have a silver car and my theme is black and silver. So I was thinking black stripe too

When it came to placement of the sticker, I went for an area that was as straight as possible. The bottom of the hood scoop just wasn't very conducive to that, besides, that's the the place where the WS6 hood usually has the Ram Air sticker, so I wanted my sticker to be at the other end.
Thanks for the comments guys

why should we love every single thing that someone does to their car? I don't. I'm not being a dick about it either, so I don't see the problem.
