HP rating - flywheel HP or RWHP
I just got an SS hood, and I am considering putting some HP rating #s on the sides of the scoop.
I dynoed at 522RWHP on a SuperFlow dyno all motor, untuned. Once I get this thing tuned I want to put some numbers on the hood, but should I go with RWHP or flywheel HP like manufacturers do? If I go with either, most people will call me a liar everywhere I go, because they simply will not believe the "advertised" number.
I am not wanting to put them on to brag, so to speak, but I do think it will tie in nicely and make the hood look a little better. What do you guys think?
I want to do it both ways, but obviously I can't. If I don't do a HP rating, maybe I should do "408 C.I.D.". How does that sound?

Do the flywheel #s. Bigger #s = cooler lol
Find out your drivetrain loss (which say, if its 15% your #s should be about 600 flywheel) Then do a 408 - 600hp logo on the hood. Then people would know how you got the #s, and what you're packing under the hood

Since you responded to my post where I showed the pics of my HP on the hood, I'll reply to yours too....I went with the flywheel hp. You can always back them up with a dyno sheet and doing the math. Although, your RWHP is so high, it would be enough of a shocker...lol.
Since you're the guy that does all the fancy emblems, are you gonna make one out of stainless to put on the hood, or are you going to go the 10 dollar route that I did and use Vinyl?
I did Vinyl, coz...if the HP number changes, it's easy to slap on the bigger numbers

I think I've decided to do a FAST 90/90 combo, and then do a full blown tune with timing alterations and what not and hope for 550RWHP, and then I'll do a flywheel HP rating on the hood.

Are you gonna make some nice stainless steel HP emblems for yourself for the hood?
