Default Cylinder Head Plate Bolts (MBA)

I just got my "SS" cylinder head plate in the mail and Im wondering if this thing was supposed to come with bolts? I dont have the bolts from the old EGR valve to use, and I probably wouldnt want to use them anyway. I think an anodized or painted bolt would look better. What are you guys using?

Mine came with stainless button-head allen bolts...they make for a very clean install.

Just go to your local hardware store & pick up some stainless bolts, ..., shouldn't be more than a buck or two, ...

Yeah...I got mine from Thunder Racing a couple months ago. It came with polished stainless allen head bolts and an allen wrench to put them in with. I should have gotten mine when MBA was still around so I could have gotten my SLP # engraved in it.

Im pretty sure you can get Thunder Racing to do custom engraving for an extra fee, maybe you can send yours back and have that added. Tony had a custom plate on his 35th.

Thunder didn't do that. He had that done when MBA was still around and had it made reverse of the normal plates. Thunder specifically stated on their order page that they did not do custom engraving. I'm sure if I really wanted to I could find an engraver to do it. I just want it to match the font of the rest of the plate.

My head plate came with the bolts. I ordered it from thunder racing as well. This is the head plate installed on the car with the bolts they supplied.

How long did you guys have to wait to get them. I ordered a headplate as well as some other parts in the middle of December and I still haven't recieved them. Every time I email Thunder Racing they say they'll be shipped out in the next couple days but two month's later and I still don't have anything.

I got mine probably a week or so after I ordered it. I've heard some people have had hit or miss service with them. I think Katrina screwed with them and they're still trying to catch up.

I went to the local motorcycle shop and got chrome ones. I think they look the best.

Ace hardware carries chrome bolts now. Well at least they do here at the local ace.
