Post Lowered on 35th SS wheels OR stock height... I need your measurements!

Problem is I have lowering springs on my car right now that I know nothing about. They were on the car when I bought it three years ago and the guy couldn't even tell me what brand they were, except that the business is no longer going. Therefore I can only compare my measurements against everyone else's. Measuring from the bottom of my 35th SS 17" rim (not from the ground, thus eliminating the tire variable) to the apex of my fender I get ~23.25" in the front and 23.7" in the back - this is with stock non-decarbon shocks. If you have these wheels and are lowered, please post up your measurements using the same method I did along with your spring/shock combo. Even if you don't have these wheels, post up with your wheel/springs/shocks, and your measurements. Also, as a comparative measure, I need those with STOCK suspensions to do the same, if possible. Again, I am trying to gather as much info as possible to make better educated decisions for upcoming suspension mods based on the little info I have. Thanks a lot guys.

I would just suggest getting new springs. Then you know exactly what you have.

Sorry im no help tho.

Yea, I don't want to play a guessing game though. I'm trying to eliminate as many variables as possible. And the point isn't to figure out what springs I have now, it's to figure out what springs/shocks to get.

Actually, measurements from anyone with 17" wheels will work, doesn't matter what type.

just guessing, I'd say its lowered 2.5-3". My TA with 17's was 26.5 or 27.0 I believe, which probably wont help you at all.

Were you measuring from the ground or the bottom of the actual rim though? Thanks for the help, the more numbers the better!

Well since no one else is helping you I have 16" wheels with H&R springs and stock shocks. The front is 22 5/8" and the back is 23 3/16" on the drivers side. The passenger side is a little lower . I think you can just add a half an inch to my measurements and thats what mine would be with a 17" wheel. Not 100% sure though. Sorry if this doesnt help.

I have 17" Z06 wheels on 100% stock suspension (I do have two bad shocks on the left side though ) Measuring from the bottom of the rim on level ground, I got these measurments:

LF 24.75" RF 24"
LR 25" RR 24.25"

No wonder my car looks like it's leaning to one side

Thanks for the stock height numbers guys. I appreciate it. Anyone else with numbers for their lowered cars? Still accepting stock height numbers though.

Arctic, I am in the same boat as you. I also bought my SS with "brand unknown" drop springs on it. I have yet to get a chance to pull a wheel off and try to find a PN on them, but I plan on it. I'll probably just end up selling the ones I got on there and buying some new ones so that I know what spring rates I have so that I can get shocks to match.

If I get a chance in the next couple days, I'll try to take some measurements of mine and post them up for you. Maybe that will help you compare.

In the mean time, you might want to do what I suggested. Pull a wheel off and search for a PN on the spring. Then search the common manufacturer sites to see if the PN matches anything they have. You might have already done this, and if so, I apologize for being no help. I have noticed a label of some sort on my springs, but haven't had a chance to see what's on it. Yours might have the same.

I'll try to get back to you shortly.

Thanks.

You never checked the spring for a name? What color are they?

I did check the springs for a name. There's nothing on them. For some reason I wanna say they are Matrix Racing springs but the guy I bought them from couldn't remember what they were and said something to the effect of the business is no longer making them. I just really have nothing to work with.

Thanks for those who have posted! Keep em comin...
