Default problems with halo fitment

i just installed a set of black halos tongiht, and the one on the passenger has a terrible gap between the light and the bumper. my stock light had this gap too, but i figured id wait until i isntalled these to see if i could fix it, and i cant. if i tighten the adjsutment screws, the gap will get smaller, but the light will be shining too far down for it to projecct out onto the road. also, the light seems to be shifted about half an inch too far to the right...any suggestions?

hmm, that *is* strange. i know when i installed mine, i had a gap to the inside of the light. are u sure u pushed the light all the way back to where the 2 little "connectors" are able to slide on all the way when u slide the light assembly to the left? or is there something prohibiting u from sliding the light to the left?
also, are u using the brackets that came with the light, or the stock brackets? i've heard the brackets only make a difference in sturdiness (sp?), but maybe there also seems to be a conflict in measurements as well, in ur case?
just a few questions to put out there to get the mind goin...

I had to use the stock brackets for mine to line up. The brackets that came with the lights for mine were way off.

yea the bracket on the light is slid into the little connector thing. my stock lights were like this too, so im thinking it may just be the brackets on the car.....you think i could straighten things out by putting washers in between the brackets until it's staight?

Put the stock brackets on your new halos. Also use a few washers as a spacer to push that side forward.

Don't worry man, everybody who has halos, is in the same boat as you. IDK if its quality control or what, but they all suck. You have to find a happy medium of looks, and light shining on the road properly. Good luck.

That just looks totally wrong. It looks to me as if the the light is not even pushed into the connector thingies as you guys call them. On my lights, you can't even see the rubber anymore where the light meets the fender, it is waaaaay further inside than that.

You said your stocker was like that too? That just tells you that there is nothing wrong with the halos, but with your car instead. Are you the original owner? If not, I'd say there is a good chance the car was hit and someone didn't put it back together right.

I mean mine don't fit perfect either, but damn....the position of the headlight in relation to the fender is waaaaaaaaaaay off! When I first looked at your pictures before reading what you had to say, I thought for sure you were going to ask how to get the headlight all the way in position...because that's how mine looks like before the one adjustment screw goes throught the hole in the bracket that remains on the car, and before those locking tap things slide into position.

hmm, like manty said, ur left side of the light doesnt look like its pushed back all the way... u sure that the adjusting screw on that bottom side is in the correct hole? look off ur right headlight (assuming thats correct?) and try to go off of that. there shuld be a little hole that allows for little horizontal movement for that screw (i believe that screw adjusts the vertical position of the headlight...culd be wrong tho...matter of fact, i probably am...)

thats about the only other thing i can think of... then again, if others are havin the exact same problems, maybe it *is* the lights u got. i got mine from hawksthirdgen.com and they fit just fine.

sorry to hear about this prob though...i just dont feel like lettn somethin this simple go with an excuse like "must be the aftermarket light" or "someone may have wrecked the car an not put it back together properly"

exhaust all options before givin up

also try puttin the old headlights back in and see if they look the same as before u took them out. if not, then u know ur just missin a step...

I bought a set of aftermarket headlights (whistler style) and mine had a pretty big gap on the right side and a minor gap on the right. It took some work but I was able to fix both sides. I had to use spacers on both the upper and lower brackets. I even had to use a 2 by 4 to move the bracket on the right out a little more. Now they're perfect and better than stock (your gap looks a little bigger than mine was though):
