I have a chrome billet on my Pewter Z right now. I think I'm tired of the sparkle and am thinking about painting it black. Could anybody show me how this would look?
Thanks
Thanks

i think i might just paint it gloss black. I figure at worst I would have to remove the 4 screws and paint it again. and thid way I could just remove the paint if I dont like it.
PLease tell me if my assumptions are wrong lol.

Is the part behind it painted black too? I can't really tell. I like it though. My pewter baby came with the shiny Billet grill too and I thought it was nice at first....but I've been getting tired of it lately...doesn't look right no more.

Ok man please please dont paint it. I painted my brushed aluminum grille black and as you can see in my avatar its not black anymore. Why? you ask? Well thats because paint doesnt hold to these grilles for crap, and after some dailly driving especially highway driving that paint WILL chip off. My grille looked good painted for about 2 months. 8 months after that it looked like absolute crap. In the end I sanded all the black off and now Im back to what I should have left it with in the first place. Either track down a black one, which can be very hard, or powder coat it. Those are your only options if you want it to actually look good.

thanks for the info. Actually as far as behind the grille, what I did was place a black sheet of vinal behind the grille. I didnt like the idea of spray painting the car. However now I have glue on the old grille, so I imagine it does not look all that gret under there. But Ive never taken the vinal off to see. I still don't know what I want to do...

I painted behind my grille with flat black. I figured it doesnt really matter since my front clip needs do be completely repainted anyway. It will be, whenever I get my new hood.
