Go with the FRC's. Those other things look kinda cheesy.

Never seen those before. Looks like the oil filler cap under the cover?

Yeah, probably a little cheesy. I thought it was good to see something a little different though.

These covers have two problems: first, they don't completely cover the coils. Sure they cover the tops of them but since they're flat they still leave the sides exposed which: (A) defeats the purpose of even having a cover in the first place and (B) makes them look too much like an afterthought. The second problem is how they were machined. The vintage "finned" look doesn't blend too well with the lines of an LS1 intake manifold. It also doesn't help matters that they didn't cut the hole out for the oil cap.

Stock FRC's all the way.

I already have a set of custom FRC's on my T/A - but wanted a different look with the new engine combo so I went with the Coil Covers from Jegs.

I had the 'Jegs' logo machined off, had the covers chromed, installed stainless steel Trans Am logos where the Jegs logo used to be.

The covers from ebay aren't as nice as the one's from Jegs yet cost almost as much. If you look at the pics below you can see the difference. I don't know what they're doing with the oil cap as there is no thru hole in the ebay covers? The Jegs covers also wrap down and around the coils to hide them from all sides whereas the ebay covers do not - as stated above - that's the whole idea behind coil covers.

Sorry, not yet. The covers are still out being chromed and the engine is in a state of rebuild at the moment

Waiting on my FAST90 intake to come back from chrome - guy that does my chrome plating also does plastic - should be the first member with a chrome FAST90 intake!

Exactly why I had the Jegs logo milled off. I contacted Jegs and talked with them about the possibility of having different versions that don't have the Jegs logo, or possibly have 'LS1' milled in instead. Told them that more people would buy them if there were options - guy stated that they would bring it up in their next meeting - apparently they don't give a ****.

I like ordering from Jegs - but I don't want their name on my engine

I've seen the Jeg's covers on a car in person, and I was really impressed. Had I not already have a set of FRC's to work on, I would have opted for the Jeg's covers... and figure out how to get that "Jeg's" off of there.
