T-Tops
I think I read in another forum a few months ago that some LS1 owners were having problems with tinting the ttops. They would crack after tinting.

Maybe thats the cause of all the problems, mine are smooth. But an old tinters trick to solve the bump problem is to wet sand the bumps down. They do it on the rear window up top & for the defroster. Just make sure on the defroster you dont take it down too much. The dots are easier to deal with. Also on some car models there is a tiny metal wire under the defroster paint. If you sand it down to that it will rust & ruin tint.

The tops can absolutely be darkened. I tinted mine 5% on top of the stock tinted glass. Over 6 months no problems yet. As long as you don't have tops (LT1 style I think) with the dot matrix it shouldn't be a problem.
