Default I am so stupid!!!

Today i cut a corner too short while making a right turn and went over a stupid curd that tore up my rocker panel. Here is my question, would it be easier to pull the dent out and smooth it out or should i find another piece to cut and weld into its spot. The damage is about 22 inches long and the paint is completely gone. It is on the underside but the paint is starting to chip up and will eventually come off. I went to get a quote and the estimate was over $600. Not gonna go that route. Any input will be appreciated. Thanks...

Honestly, save up $600 bucks or just buy a new panel pre-painted. I don't know man its personal choice on something like this.

After looking at it a little better, it doesnt seem to be too bad. I might be able to do the bodywork and then just get someone to spray it. I will try to post up a pic tomorrow.

Pay the $600. If you try to find a cheap way to fix it, its gonna look like tried to find a cheap way to fix it. Bite the bullet and get it fixed.

Thats a pretty expensive mistake, hopefully you can fix it without handin out that much cash. Ive ran over a curb or two, low speed turning out of a parking space one time, and during a spin out on wet pavement another time, fortunately for me my rocker panels and my wheels made it out ok.

Since it is not viewable to anyone I would say you have a while until the paint peels off where it is noticeable to a passerby.

That means you have time to start saving up and get it all fixed at once.

i was right turning in a parkin lot like 5 weeks ago and someone cut me off. i had to cut real sharp and just like you i scraped my rocker panel on the curb ,only thing is mines like twice as long and three times as deep--so im pretty sure my only option is a whole new panel. but i feel you bro.

one question: when i look at where the rocker panel and the rear fender meet, it looks like the two are welded together or something, is it possible to replace just the rocker panel?
