The clear top is removable without taking off the actual valve cover. The bolts that hold the cover down are on the inside i thought. So you could very well clean them on a car like pictured (not on our cars though). I agree though...prob to much maintance for a daily driver. The pic I took was a little while after the guy drove it into the show i was surprised by how clean they were. A nice product...very good quality. I know the place that makes them does a lot of valve cover work and well as air cleaners like pictured.

I had a thread earlier about this. I'm working on it.
My business should be up and running hopefully by the end of this month and I'll be a sponsor here.
"Chrome & Performance."
!wire kits... I just finished the instruction manual 1 hour ago to be exact. Every item needed with detailed color instructions so clear, you'd have to be a 3rd grade drop out not to get it right.
Stainless steel corsa knockoff tips that cost 45% less than real corsa ones.
Coil relocation kits with polished brackets,
polished parts outright/exchange,
and... stock polished valve covers that have slots milled out between the center bolts that show the valvetrain. I'm also going to sell replacement clear panels that are sandwiched between a flange and the material should resist clouding for 4-6 months on a daily driver.
The clear covers will be a bit delayed to ensure proper abuse testing.
I'm not going to go into much more detail because I can't delete this thread like the other one. The other thread was loaded with ideas and I didn't want other sponsors getting ideas. ~Joshua

A buddy of mine has clear valve covers. He has them on his dragcar, he says its not really worth it because you cant see inside when its running but after it sits it looks good. He made his, but he also made his whole 8 second drag car so I dont know how hard it would be to make.

Man i've wanted clear valve covers for like years, i always thought it would be so tight, but it would be even better if the inside was coated with something non stick so oil wouldn't cloud up everything and make them pointless.
