The holes are tiny and it hasn't changed my coolant temp at all compared to the factory Z28 hood.
The thing I really don't like about the hood is that the each port has a ledge that holds water and filth.

(edit) oh yeah, the intake doesn't work like the Ultra Z hood though, at all, the inside it just a rough fiberglass hollow opening with nothing smooth or areodynamic about the flow. Also the openings are random and not placed over anything special, unless you want to cool the throttlebody.

Go with the 4" straight cowl!!!!
Its by far the best looking hood for a 4th gen camaro. You dont see a lot of people witht ehm and you just get stares all the time. But whatever you decide to go with it will look good.
