Default need opinions or similar pics

i've made a decision on my car and i just want opinions or similar car pics if you have:

i have a silver 2002 z28 and i have an extra rear panel to make paint. i was originally gonna do the berger matte black but i now have a better idea. i was thinking painting the panel gloss black to match the roof panel and possibly a matching painted SS hood scoop. so what do you think?

I did a Gloss black panel on my Electron Blue 1994 Z28 to match the gloss black roof and headlight buckets, it looked like CRAP

Can't explain it but for some reason gloss black makes it look out of place while Flat/Stain/Low-Gloss black looks awesome!

BTW, the back panel on my Navy Blue Metallic Z28 is Low-Gloss/Satin black...

Gloss black doesn't look old school muscle car though. That's where the whole Berger idea came from...

Heck, look at all the new Mopars with Satin/Flat black stripes to match the old school cars... Just wouldn't look the same in gloss black.

im not going for the old muscle car look. im going for a creative design you guys are saying it would look good with a painted hood scoop, but painted what color? how come no one ever paints the hood scoop flat black like the mopars and the fords do?

I can't imagine that looking too great. IMO, it would just stick out too negatively, being a big flat black scoop on a sleek and shiny car.

I agree with the satin being old school but I like the way the glossy matches everything else on the car. Just a modern version of it. My hood has some glossy to it too.
