Help me decide on the color of my intake.
Which color should I paint my intake?
Here is how it looks like now...
I plan on polishing all the brake lines and polishing the alternator to a nice shine along with all the brackets etc.

the only reason I say red is because your stb is red. but if you didn't have the stb i'd say black. You wnna try to polish it? you might want to pick up a spare because it's gonna take a full month to polish it to a mirror. I tried to polish one and the casting had a ton of air bubbles so it was a big waste of time.

Graphite/Silver.
If you go red, it'll clash with the STB too much. And you really dont have a lot of red under there to flow that well. If you go with a silver-esq color it'll go better with the red and still flow w/ the black.

Dude, I polished an entire LT1 (everything except for the block) for my grandfather before it went into his '57 Chevey Bel-Air.
Trust me, if you do it right it will look just as nice as the rough satin LS1 Weiand I polished. It was horid out of the box... and compared to the casting of the LS1 valvecovers, your intake will be a snap!
Keep in mind this intake was a rough corn cob out of the box. Now it looks like glass.

I am in the process of doing some polishing on some of my engine parts. lots of fun and if you are "REALLY" into working on your car all the time like it is a drug addiction, than this is a cheap and time fulfilling way of going about it. Rub one out...+1 for polished.

Bright clear coated red with extremely bright polished ribs would look HAWT also.
