Default Shaved and popped doors on f-body

Who knows what materials/ process to use? I'm finding many body shops in my area won't do the work or they tell me they will begin cracking very soon. I understand the doors are made of polyurethane allowing them to flex and vibrate causing them to crack over time. One guy is offering me a 2 year warranty on his work, he plans to fill them with a piece of plastic, then using kitty hair, and smoothing out the surface. I hear Kitty hair will only bond to fiberglass though?

Not sure if they are fiberglass, but they are not metal.

Ok, sounds like doors are fiberglass not plastic. Kitty hair should work ok then? I will see if I can get a hold of Mr. flawls1t/a and see how things have worked out for him. If anyone has anymore info on the subject please post. Thanks for eveyones help thus far!

They are fiberglass. I had a dog run into the side of mine and split it. The body shop (dealer) fixed it... not replaced it. He even explained they would have to sand it down and fix the split with a fiberglass repair.

Btw, that repair was 4 years ago!!!!!!!! Can't even find where it was.

It was a very large dog. He ran in from the side and hit the door panel. I even saw the panel "flex" in and pop the dog back.(Saw this through the side mirror.) It jumped up and ran off. I got out of the car, looked at the panel in the dark and could even see the crack. The next morning though when I went to the garage... I did... I was PISSED!!!!!!!! Also, killed the door molding and even left fur behind in the molding.

As for the repair job... yes they did a really good job. I don't think anyone would ever be able to tell it was hit other wise. While he was at it... I had the door handles painted white to match the car.
