Haha, for what I paid to go there I'm entitled. I paid $600...for the blending. I'm not even going to go into how much I paid to go to GU...
Haha, for what I paid to go there I'm entitled. I paid $600...for the blending. I'm not even going to go into how much I paid to go to GU...$600 is a VERY reasonable price, they did a great job from the looks of it too.
I would call it more of a filled job rather than a blending job because they left a very hard (sharp) edge still which is very evident by the shadow line in the pictures. Your car looks very nice but the whole concept of blending is to make it look like the rear valance came that way from the factory. Right?
Please don't think I'm doggin on your car but for taking 2 1/2 weeks
I think your body shop should have done a better job. Personally for waiting that long and paying $600 i would take it back and have it blended properly or you may regret it later for not doing anything about it. But if you are totally happy with the results then that is what really matters in the end as you know. There is a member here and on Cardomain who has a white SS with the RK sport front valanve and rear CME valance "Blended" in so nicely you would swear it was a factory piece as there are not hard edges to tell you otherwise. I wish I could find the pictures to show you what I mean but it is a remarkable job they did to his car.
Not the white car but here are some pics of a good Blended job
This one isn't too bad either (except for the tips in too far), just doesn't show up as much as it does on light colored cars. Doesn't seem worth the $$$ on a black car.
