Question Re-leathering?

I want to re-leather my four black seats. Anyone know how much it will approximately cost?

Thanks.

you would be better off buying used seats in good condition

Search around for a group buy on Katzkin - you can usually find it for under $700.

I have installed Katzkin covers in three different cars now, and am always very impressed with their products.

you cna get a very nice set of replacement covers, with some customization, if desired for ~ 700 - 800, depending on stiching/embroidary chosen.

On all the cars i've seen with those covers....i always thought that the covers didn't fit as snugly as the stock "leather." I seem to nitice more creases and "air pockets" i dunno? Perhaps post some pictures of seats with these covers. Do you actually remove the OEM "leather' and then put the Katskin's on or do you put the covers on over the OEM stuff?

The seats that come in our cars only use leather on the seating surfaces right? All the bolsters and side trim pieces as well as the backs are just vinyl aren't they?

you remove the OEM covers, then install the Katzkins .. If installed correctly, they tighten up very well once they have been in the sun for a few days.

I looked for some of the installed pics I took, but couldn't find them.

With all the people putting racing seats in your car, you can find some leather seats in great shape cheap.

If you want to just redo the seats I don't think it should be more than about $650, I can get a whole car done in Katzkin for about $1000, thats door panels etc......
