I forgot exactly where I got mine, but they just pop over the stock tailights. Easiest mod I've ever done. And I love the looks of it on my Black WS6!

AutoVentShade TailShade Blackouts for the 93-02 Pontiac Firebird, Part #33041
Available from most local parts stores, ..., for about $38-48 bucks, ...

Most people are now using the VHT Niteshades paint approach.

I think the covers look better than VHT because they hide the indentation of the backup lights and make the back look smooth. I bought the AVS covers from AutoZone for $36.99.

I agree. If yer gonna do the VHT Niteshades paint, then the LT1 taillights are a better base for a good looking smooth rear, ...

Here's another shot of the covers. I like the fact that they can be removed anytime I want.

^ yes but so can anyone else if I'm correct?

Do you have to open the trunk/hatch to get those on or off? I've had a couple of pairs of blackouts on different cars and someone would always steal the damn things or mess them up trying to steal them...

Yes, that is true. But someone could also just peel off my Last of the Breed badges, or cut off my exhaust tips, or "key" my paint.........that's just life. There is always a chance of something being messed with.
