Default Interior Trim NBM to match outside

I want to paint interior trim the same color as the exterior, NBM. Now there i sone part in question... The paart of the door, that has the compartment and encloses the front speakers and tweeters. I plan to do the guages, the faceplate surrounding, vents, TCS/Ash tray plate (on AUTO's), and window/door control plates. So in order to enhance this i was thinking of the bottom trim piece for the doors, right under the head rest.

If anyone could photoshop this id greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

I left poll open for multiple votes incase i picture comes up

here are the choice of panels

Im not a fan of it just because every Honda around here has the painted trim but if its done right and you dont go overboard Im sure it would look good.

Paint has no business on the interior plastic of your car. That's just my opinion.

unless you are painting things black or silver, I'd vote no. Leave that to the Honda boys

No. Unless you sand the "pebble grain" finish till it's smooth like glass and then paint gloss black, and only on a certain car.... No.

you know firehawk..i was thinking just the opposite..id stay with a "muted" non glossy finish but leave the pebbles for texture and contrast....might not be so "flashy"

Id stay away from red, yellow etc unless its a show car..Ive yet to see one of thoes work..

And just to contridict myself..theres a thread runing now where a guy has painted his panels glossy black...looks good....gonna be a night meare keeping it free of fingetprints etc..

Good point. I'm not touching mine, but if somebody put a gun to my head and there wasn't an option, I'd probably choose flat black with a coat of clear. I'd have to sand it though. I've seen pebble grain painted over and it was.....

why not keep it grey and get new nbm leather? make the car match, I might look good. Try posting in the multimedia forum for a better response for photoshop.

I have a Sebring Silver Z28 and painted my AC trim pieces and the radio trim piece silver to match. I sanded everything down with 180 and 400 then put several coats on, finished it up with clear. I'm debating on doing the console and door panels, so I guess we'll just see. Sorry, no pics so don't ask.

I got the car with the AC vents, AC/Radio Bezel, and Speaker Grills painted white, and I'm not too terribly fond of it only because they need repainting. If the chips were touched up then I think it might look better.

I'd get the leather insert on the door covered in blue leather, get the seats redone in blue leather or blue suede. I have yet to see a painted plastic part that I like, because all the pieces around it are a different color and it just doesn't flow.
