I'd say that's right up there as one of the best looking engine bays I've ever seen.

It all ties together very nicely and works well together. I'd rank it as a tie for #1 with Joshua (forgot his screen name, he's the guy that has the fully polished engine).

Awesome. Now get your azz over here and do mine.

I was going to put some money into my engine bay but I decided I better spend it on upgrading to C5 brakes with the power I have.

That is THE NICEST bay I have ever seen. It is not overdone, and it looks very classy! Great work! Now, polish those hood shocks up, and that thing is absolutely perfect!

The aluminum parts such as the valve covers can be polished by sanding and polishing using a buffing wheel and compounds. It takes some time to get them right. Do a search here to find a tutorial.

Thanks for the compliments.

Steve Goodwin Roughly how much $ did you spend on the hood hinges, headlight brackets, and supports to get them chromed? Do you mind sharing?

Very impressed with the amount of thought and time you've spent. Picked up an idea too. I think I may sand and gloss my lower airbox until my custom Carbon Fiber lower airbox/engine bay stuff gets made.

Thanks. ~Joshua

I had 14 pieces chromed for just under $900 which is pretty reasonable. Alot of Chrome shops won't even give you a quote, it's we can do it we will tell you what the bill is when you pick up your parts.

I had the Lid, Radiator support, Bumper support and backside of the headlights done by a local Street Rod shop total time 12 hours. The pictures really don't do the Paint work justice they are everybit as nice as the hood.

I wouldn't doubt it looks even better in person.

I almost hate posting pics of my polished work. It may look like chrome in large pics, but it has a whole different personality when you're staring at it and it's shimmering from all different angles.

I'm with you on the chrome prices. I do some of the smoothing before I send the parts off to be dipped, and even still *I* can't get a straight answer sometimes; and I'm in business with 'em!!! ~Joshua
