Default Post up your pics of A1 strip
I'm looking for some pictures of the strip accross the windshield... preferably on black cars but anything will do. I can't decide if I want it. I have a black 01 WS6 with 5% tint all around so I think it will add to it's evil

What the hell's an 'A1' strip?!? (A little sauce on a NY strip steak is the only thing I can come up with, ...)

i believe he is refering to the sun strip running along the top of the windshield which u can have tinted aftermarket depending on ur states laws

I'm actually thinking of have the whole windshield tinted 35%.

Does anyone know if it would be possible to leave the black strip at the top or would that look ?

my whole car is one illegal rolling machine.. race headers, off road y pipe loudmouth exhaust.. no EGR no AIR... the tint thats on it now is 15% all around (illegal).

I have never had any problems with the cops where I'm at... and none of my friends have either so I'm not concerned with staying legal.

/\ So true. Here is mine. My car is 2% all the way around, plus a black car makes them even darker.

People call it the "A1" strip because there is a tiny line with A1 written next to it on your windshield. Most cars have this, and it's a point of reference cops use when inspecting your tint job to see if the strip is too wide. The only reason I know this is b/c my wife got pulled over, and the cop said the strip was too wide on her '04 Ranger Edge. But he couldn't find the "A1" mark on the windshield, so he let her go only with a warning for speeding.

Not sure but I suspect it's illegal in just about every state to have the front fully tinted. . .like draw attention to yourself illegal. . .
