Default PAINTING tires

I have MT ET Streets and the color on the MT is fading. I was at the parts store and saw a paint "pen" used to touch up white walled tires or white lettered tires. If I clean the tires real well and put this on will it stay for a little while (5k miles?). I am planning on doing the "ET STREET" lettering as well. Opinions please.

they make a rubber dip like to dip tool handles in ect to give them the rubber grips.... use that and you can have pretty much any color letters you want... plus it stays on perm...

I've been using a regular old paint pen to fill in "Michelin" on my sportbike tires for several thousand miles. The paint just gets dirty, and you have to go back over it, but I've never had any come off. Not quite the exact same situation, but I'm pretty confident it would work. I do not think it would work if you're using any sort of wrinkle wall tires at the track.

You could try it, then put a clear fingernail polish on it to see if it would seal it, then it might just clean off, with some wheel cleaner

my buddy did this to his tires on his R6 and they came out good. He didn't put to many miles on his bike, but when he rode they got dirty and when when they got cleaned they look like new again. Go for it!

I used it a few times when I had my white 96 TA. Used to take almost 2 hours to letter all the tires, but the stuff never lasted that long. Usually by the time I washed the car the next time it was faded. It was that paint pen, can't remember who made it. The TA looked good when it was done though, bright white letters on my tires that matched the bright white paint on the car. Aahhh, the memories...
