Default I have no life. . .

Other than sitting around trying to figure out how to 'change' my car. Saw something similar to this a week or 3 ago and finally got off my duff (pun intended) and did this using 1/4" aluminum with plastic sandwiched between. Got about 8 panels of this in 4'x10' for free and heres what I've done w/it. Started off w/a cardboard template (needs modifications also). This is my FIRST run at this. There WILL be more!

Minor tweaks for fitment are necessary and yes, I know the engine compartment is nasty! Wire mod coming soon, considering rerunning my cutout solenoid and hiding it somewhere else (probably down low and out of site)

These panels will probably look better in the daylight. Scuffed it w/100 grit sponge and spritzed it w/gloss black from Wal-Mart. TOTAL output for the practice, about 50 cents for the paint used.

It's looks like it could be cool. I think that if your engine bay was a little cleaner it would make it seem better, because all the dirt and spots take away from the work you did. Nice job though. I also have no life and ponder what can be done to my car all the time. Then i realize i have no money.

Talk about no life but seriously I've been thinking about how to change my cars looks before I even had a car. I would look at an Fbody I would consider and then visualize right after. People probably say not to waste your money or time on visual things for cars and then you end up on a site like this. Oh well at least its fun.
