$10 SLP grill, need help
Ok like the title says i picked this up for 10 bucks, despite what the pictures look like it's actually in really good shape. Suffering from a little bit of paint chippage in one spot, and those two holes in the middle. My questions are
1.) How/can i fill those holes?
2.) What should i do about the paint? leave it or sand it all down and try to paint it or have it done somewhere. I want to retain that original glossy shine!

Don't Bondo it, it will break and flake off... You need a poly-urethane filler... I'm not a body guy so I can't tell you specifics... Check this site out:

If you're talking about the 2 large holes that were drilled on the front, I would fiberglass a "backing plate" to the backside of the grille where the holes are and then used a fiberglass based filler to build up the holes to the surface and then a nice glazing putty to feather it out. Reason for the backing plate is so the filler will have something to rest against.
As for the paint I would scuff it up real good 320 grit or so and reprime the whold grille since you're going to have to prime where you patched the holes anyhow. Then lay your base and clear. If you send it out, expect your bargain find to turn into the cost of a brand new SLP grille.
