Default How would I mount mesh to my bumper?

I recently did a Front Mount Intercooler on my Camaro. I want to mount some sort of mesh to protect the intercooler, how would I mount the mesh to the bumper.

i would say to buy some from lowes or home depot, then bend back some "tabs" and screw that into the bumper

Is there another way of doing it where I wouldn't have to screw into the bumper.

I have the entire center piece of the bumper cutout. I want to mount some sort of mesh behind it.

If there is some sort of lip on it perhaps you could use those "christmas tree" screws that you push in there for the mesh. Is the mesh your wanting to use flexible or more hard?

you know the kind of "screws" that hold the back bumper on the very bottom, like if you got on your back and looked up at the edge of the rear bumber, how it has taht pin and the seat where it spreads out when you slide the pin in.....uhm like a molly bolt i guess, that's what i have on mine.

That's what i was referring to kind of. Except i meant the rigid edged ones that go in but don't come out easily, either way they are both good ideas. You'd have to drill holes in that bumper though. Good luck let us know how it goes man.

*edit: if i was cool enough to have a turbo ls1 i'd let the whole world see the intercooler well atleast for a month or two.

I would do exactly that, bend the mesh over so it folds onto the inside of the bumper (unseen area) and put some fiberglass resin and matting ontop of the mesh which will mate the mesh with the bumper's plastic.

What about mounting it from the rear of the bumper? I know you'll still be drilling holes but they'll be on the inside of the bumper and you'll never see them.

I would use a plastic epoxy instead of fiberglass. Make sure you rough up the plastic wherever the epoxy will be bonded to the bumper.

I just don't want any screws showing. I would rather not have to do more cutting and drilling then I already did If I could of put the bumper on without cutting it I would of.
