Default Vette gauge Conversion???

Ok, the vette gauges are secksee as h3ll!! Are they not?

Is there anyway we could work them to fit F-Body's?? Specifically 98-02's. If I find one with the same mileage as mine? The electronics should be the same, right?? I'd immagine that the C6 gauge electronics (as well w/ the redline w/ the tach) would be different, I'm speaking mostly for the C5 gauges.

The stepped gauge look is oh so nice!

Ideas??

GMS does a 200mph guage conversion, and you could design your own overlay...

well I *HIGHLY* doubt the vette guages can be swapped. they have different wiring for sure and Im not even sure if the cluster would even fit

I'm sure it can be done... Just not sure how un-godly the amount of work would be...

Here's my only helpful info... I saw a C6 gauge cluster put into a C5... SO if a C5 would work in an F-Body then you could make the C6 work !

I guess that means no WS6 hood for you since that flat stock hood is what GM gave you...

^^..........Anyway. I forgot about my own thread.

I'll have to drop by the salvage yard back home and take a CLOSE look at both gauge clusters.

I am just really hard for the Vette gauges. I'm talkin C5 Gauges in a 4th Gen (LS1) They would most likley fit in an LT1 setup. I don't think the wiring would be that different.

......

I wonder how hard it would be to modify a set of aftermarket gauges (like Cobalts) to sit like that (with the overlapping bezels/rings)?

I know what you're thinking^^... Get a fist full of gauges, a REAL tach, a REAL temp gauge, MPH, Volts, Oil Pressure and Fuel.

I'll chop something up... to give an idea... ...Ehh.. FK that..It's being a PITA...
