Default I deserve to be killed...look what I did to my Tahoe!

The story: I've got the front driver's tire up on a ramp to get extra clearance to change out the fuel filter. After swapping it over I back down the ramp and into the wall/frame of the garage. I was doing the work in the driveway with the car backed in. I'm an idiot for having the car that close to the house to begin with. I've never done anything like this to a car before and I feel like the biggest toolbag on this site The worst part is that this is what my wife drives (I bought it) and she's out of town until Thursday. I'm honestly thinking about waiting until she notices it b/c she'll just think someone did a hit and run but that's pretty shady. The paint did spider/crease in a couple spots and I know this isn't going to be cheap to fix. Is this even possible to get straight w/ paintless dent removal? I realize the paint is f_cked...what a freakin' idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn dude that sucks. I did the same thing to my girls 04 tahoe even on the same side but mine was WAYYYY worse. And to top it off, I back into my dads 2 day old 06 silverado. He was pissed. Either way, good luck with the wifey and it shouldnt be too much $ out of pocket. Probably $300 or so.

Someone's going to be in the dog house

I was trying to be a nice husband and polish my wifes mercedes. I was just about done and slipped and scratched the **** out of her lower rear quarter panel. I went and bought touch up paint, and she couldnt tell. I tried to sand/polish it a few weeks later and fucked it up even worse

Were that dent is at just try and pop most of it out, that way it is not so noticable to here and doesn't look nearly as bad . I did the same thing to my Tahoe and beat most of it out and the estimate to have it fixed right was about $350

I had an Old Sonoma GT. Aka fake Syclone and I cut the wheel when I was backing out of the garage b/c there was a car kind of in the way. Ripped the bumber in half it was folded like a freakin L. I was like WTF! Bent the metal stuff backtogher and the plastic was fine??? Added some zip ties and it was good to go

I looked under there to see if I could bang it out some but it looks like there's another thin metal sheet that's in the way. I agree it is a truck but the rest of it is dent-free!

You *may* be able to push that out and polish the scratches.

I would say an airbag system would probably be able to pop it out. I haven't tried it yet but that dent you have is VERY accessible if you pull the taillight out. An airbag would fit right in there and it should pop pretty easily. Over course the possibility of the paint cracking is why I haven't done it yet. My paint still looks perfect and I don't want to fool with it.

My grocery getter Suburban now just has some "character"

Bryan

after you fix that bumper, you might want to think about getting some new sneakers for your wife!

That isn't even close to being as stupid as what I pulled about 10 years ago. I had to move my S-10 5 feet and decided I would try and operate the clutch with my right foot. I ended up running into a tree. Smashed the bumper up real good took it off and beat the dent out...couldn't even really tell after I fixed it. Don't even sweat this one. Just try to beat the dent out if you can get access to it and call it a day.

This is true however if I had done this in my T/A then I wouldn't be posting here b/c I would've already killed myself!
