LED Gauges 6000k HID Install Pictures
Not a lot to say about my install it was a plug and play kit...
I would suggest NOT mounting the ballasts to metal but using heavy duty foam padded sticky tape to mount the ballasts to something plastic/non-metallic.

Just aimed/drove the car with the HID's for the first time. To anyone who ever said that these shouldn't be brighter then factory lights....you are dead wrong.
Huge improvement and I think mainly because of the light wave not really the brightness. I'm not a Scientist though so I may be wrong about the light wave part......but I know what my eyes can see and they can see a LOT more with these HIDs

i have a 2004 audi 225 coupe, and a lot of the ferraris that come through our shop has hid's. I only drive my trans am, my audi, and ocasionaly one of the Ferrari's on a test drive,and hids are 1000x better. I keep putting off an install on my trans am but i really dont know why. Such a huge difference its crazy. After getting out of my audi and driving my trans am i feel blind at night. One of my friends says that my car looks like the batmobile and he says it furthur continues the "bat theme" since im blind lol

Is the 6000k kit still somewhat blue? or does it depend the point of view? or is it mostly white? the videos aren't working and i cant tell much from the pics. Im having a very hard time choosing between 6-8000k.

8k is more blue then white. I wanted it to look OEM and not ricey.

Actually, the glare thing is wrong. I checked it myself. Now, my lights are aimed correctly. However, no glare. Just a clear light.

I can guarantee that a projector 8000k HID setup will blind LESS than a 8000k reflector setup, because projector setups are superior to reflectors as far as performance is concerned. Just look at the cutoff someone posted above, it's superior to reflectors. Most reflectors are not designed for HID bulbs, whether they be D2S or D2R. A few cars come with reflector based HID setups, but it is not the norm.
Take it from someone who has done overwattage bulbs in the reflector housing, then decided to do a true projector setup. You definately see more of the road with your setup than stock, and it looks damn cool. Having the halos on there will help with throwing light off in random directions.
Remember that installing HID in a housing that was not designed for HID is illegal for a reason. Now again, I'm not busting your *****, because I told you I had 85w overwattage low beams in my camaro for years, which are illegal. I just want to point it that it's very possible that you're pissing people off when you don't even know it.
One reason why all of you may be blinded by Audis, BMWs, etc is because they use HIDs running at less 8000k. The higher the color temperature (measured in degrees Kelvin, k) the more electrical energy is being converted in to color energy. That is why I chose the 4100k bulbs, it put out much more light (measured in lumens) than the 6000k bulbs.
Jeff is doing himself a favor because the 8000k put out more lumens than stock, but also may not **** off a ton of poeple because his kit puts out less lumens than other HID setups.
The higher color temps (8000k, 12000k, etc) can annoy you because of the high color temperature stresses your eye, or the lower temps (3200, 4100, 4300, 5000, 6000, etc) can annoy you because they put out a ton of lumens. You have to trade light output for color temperature, you can't have both.It's also very possible the light blind you because you are drawn to looking at them due to their color. Don't laugh, think hard the next time you are blinded.... you could very well be staring down the projector without even thinking about it.
That being said, setup looks good Also, for longeivity's (sp?) sake, try not to turn your HIDs on and off a lot in a short amount of time. (you may want to do the !AutoHeadlights mod and possibly even wire up a way to keep your lows on when your high beams are on). Hot restarts are very hard on the bulbs, and they are NOT cheap to replace.
