Power Window/Lock control thingy popped out... how do you fix that?
The little pod that houses the power window and power lock controls on the driver side on my door was kinda lose for a while. The other day, it just completely let go and now it's just kinda hanging in there. I tried somehow pushing it back in, but it won't stay at all. How was that thing fastened to the door? Is it just held by a bunch of plastic tabs or something, or is there a trick to it? If it was held by plastic tabs, then I am guessing I have to buy a whole new PW/PL unit to replace the old one? I sure as hell don't want to glue it into place!
Any ideas what a new one might cost?
Or any other input for that matter?

You mean this? It's going on ebay for ~$30. Last I remember it had little metal tabs on the sides that held it in place in the door. Its been a while since I had a camaro so I might be wrong.

It has a metal tab on each side that "locks" it down in place. Pull it out and most likely the spot where one of the metal tabs goes is broken off. If that is the case its probably best to buy another switch panel. IF I remember correctly they are around $20 at your local dealership.
If it looks like nothing is broken you will need to fish in the door to find the metal clip that has worked loose or take the door panel off(if your luck is like mine)
IF you try to glue it, ONLY try to glue the metal piece to the switch panel where it was susposed to go and then reinstall it normally. DO NOT try to glue the entire switch panel back in to the armrest(Just trust me on this one!)
YES! Me and those things have went a round or two!

Nothing is broke, but one metal clip is missing. I bet chevy doesn't just sell the clips...lol.
I am not gonna take the door panel off, with my luck, I"ll just break more stuff.
Thanks guys.

My clip came off, all i had to do was use so really strong glue to hold the clip in place and i have not had any problems with it since. I don't know if the dealership will sell them but i am sure that you can get them at a junk yard. good luck

I've been going through this ordeal for about 6 months now. Pops out and you can pop it back in, but when you roll the window down completely, or shut the door too hard, it'll pop right out. Tried all kinds of glue and it would hold... but only for a bout a month. I just gave up on it. So now I'm just looking for all new door panels all together.

I went to the dealer expecting to buy a whole assembly, but what do you know, they sell the clip separately and even had one in stock! So I paid the $1.58 and went home all excited. I plugged that baby in, pushed it in to seat it....and hear the sound of the clip falling out. The bad news was that the very end of the plastic part that the metal clip is inserted too was broken on both ends, the good news was, that I found the original clip, right next to the new one....grrrr! Don't know how I missed it the first time around! So then I took a thin piece of aluminum and cut it to size and stuck it in where the clip goes. Then I put the clip on top of that where it's supposed to be, and plugged the whole deal back in...and what do you know...that worked! Woot!
Lets see how long it holds!

I replaced this very part on my TA. I purchased the bezel AND the 2 clips at the same time. Unfortuantely I didn't keep the receipt for the P/N for the metal clips. If you call or go to a dealer though you should have no problem identifying them on an exploded diagram they can bring up for you.

I need a new switch bezel, it's broke on one edge where the clip goes, so it pops out every time I shut the door. I've been meaning to ask a local dealer how much they cost but I keep forgetting
