Default Ws.7

I know not everyone likes the whole WS.7 badge for a T/A that has the Ram air hood and suspension mods of a WS.6

How does this decal look? I might just rip it off but it's kinda just there until I decide what to do.

Sorry for the crappy picture:

There is. Apparently it was a 2nd Gen RPO code for a WS6 package with rear drums or something like that.

However, even in the LS1 era your statement isn't wholly correct. PONTIAC never made an LS1 era WS7, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Anybody who's really into these cars will be involved in the Trans Am and Firebird communities and they will know that said community has more or less agreed that WS7 badges are for a WS6 visual clone. Anybody who isn't a fan of the cars won't know better, and anyone who is, will know what it is.

Better than putting a WS6 badge on it.

Hmmmm.... a special badge to indicate you have a clone, huh? So, the SS cloners could put a "BS" badge on their cars instead of an "SS". I like it!

just because pontiac never made it doesnt mean it doesnt exist. I have seen countless cars with the hood and the ws7 badge they were really popular for a while. You may not like it, but that doesnt mean its not real. It may not be a factory code but people use it and its widely accepted to the point where 7/10 enthusiasts see the "ws7" and they think of the ws6 clone. I think its cool at least your admitting your car isnt a factory ws6. What would you say to him if he had a ws6 badge on? would you call him a poser? i think its nothing more that a stylish way to be honest and you can deny it all you want but it does exist

I agree with 530transam Posts. I think the WS7 badge is cool for those who have WS6 Clones. Who really cares what exists by RPO Code. An RPO Code list definitely does not make the car at all.

I think I have to agree with silver02ta, if you are a ws6 clone, why do you need a badge. If i put a ws6 hood on my ta, i wouldnt call it a ws6 or ws7??, i would call it a ta, because thats what it is.

Okay, the badge looks nice, ill admit, but I wouldnt put it on my car.

I'm still torn. I guess I will keep it on for now. I like the way it looks personally.

If you're gonna place WS7 on the rear of the car, I'd say you should make it a badge. The decal looks cheap to me.

He put the WS6 badge on his car though. Which, as discussed in another thread, is only ever done purely to get other people to think the car is something it's technically not.

Hence WS7. In a sense, going badgeless would not be too far behind a WS6 badge because you could have people think it was a WS6 just by staying silent, or by telling them you "debadged" it. With WS7, you're just indicating that you like the hood and not interested in anyone thinking anything about your car that isn't true.

And since the community more or less agreed about this (on the whole), it does mean that WS7 exists, but that's a side point. lol

Personally, if I had a flat hood T/A, I'd keep it, or get one in fiberglass, or maybe get a Mecham, or try something like the Heritage T/A, or something like one of JasonWW's hood photochops. I think the WS6 hoods are for WS6s, and the flat hood *does* look good (especially with killer rims and the right stance with a nice rake).

But, like I said before, it shows how Pontiac knocked it out of the park, the aftermarket can't come up with anything better. lol

But anyway, to the thread starter, it looks good. Don't sweat it.

All true, just a matter of opinion. The post above me does have a sweet looking emblem. You should get one like that.
