We just cut a full round out of the front spring and 3/4 round out of the rear, the rear needs at least another 1/4 round taken out. (above pics)
Calipers will get finished powdercoating this weekend, all I've powdercoated so far is the caliper brackets. I had to get another spare set of calipers ($75) to powdercoat and rebuild, so my car wouldn't be down for a couple days while powdercoating. Once I get them on the car, I'll powdercoat some on an exchange basis, first set (mine) will be orange to match my car, and the next set will be red.
I'll post pics.

Jesus..... this thread is full of failure and half-assed redneck mods.
That car is the reason people always viewed the F-body community as a bunch of trashy hicks.
The outside of the car turned out looking very nice and I congratulate you, but the whole mentality behind everything else on it is ridiculous. You don't think endless companies tried various styles/locations for the intakes back in 97 when these things were first hitting the streets? The reasons lids are so popular are because they were found to work more effectively, safely, and provide more performance than any other design. And your descreening of the MAF? That's been shown many times to cause problems if anything happens to get past the filter.... which is much easier with your new design. I won't even begin to tell you about how wrong and destructive your tuning is going to be to that car. Just because you CAN, doesn't mean you SHOULD go in and start screwing with the settings you did. Oh, and just because your car still happens to be running, doesn't mean that it's in good shape. You can beat the hell out of it all you want and claim that it's still great, but you have no idea what the inside of your transmission is actually going through. Those settings you changed to make it "feel like the car has a shift kit" are very likely frying your transmission. You set your line pressure to 120, which will eventually mess up on amps to the pressure control solenoid because it doesn't go above 96. You know nothing about the force motor current table, but screwed with it anyways. And, as the guys in the tuning forum told you and as I stated above, just because the thing is still running doesn't mean that it is good on the car. I can smash a bunch of thumbtacks into the bottom of my feet and still walk around just fine, but does that mean it's good? Hell no. You claim that the fact your car is still running is "proof that it works". Wrong. These cars have been out for over a decade now with this engine/transmission/electrical setup and have had people testing, working on, and modifying it every minute of every day ever since. They've figured out what works, what doesn't, and what's harmful to the cars. You've completely disregarded all of this information because you're simply too ignorant to care... and it will ultimately be the death of your car. Maybe not today, maybe not next week, but almost every person here can tell you that running your car like that with the changes you've made to it WILL ruin it. You may not be able to see the damage you're doing to it, but messing with the car like you did is like having cancer... you can't see the damage, but it's in there just slowly killing everything. Good luck with the rest of your "build", if that's what you would like to call it. Just make sure you keep that car and your knowledge in your own area, because I'm sure the rest of the regular F-body crowd doesn't want you making them look as belligerent and ignorant as you are.

ignorance
Yeah, I feel your pain.
Since rebuilding a couple of the transmission's that I know nothing about here in the past 3 months, (3 to be exact, one a month), and putting shift kits in trannys and actually VIEWING the transmission pressures, yada yada yada, anyways.....
I not going to get in a message board argument with you, lord knows that I don't have time to set here and have 2000+ posts cause I'm actually doing something productive with my time (redneck turbocharging a truck, as a matter of fact) and have a great car to show for it.
and....I LOVE MY CAR!

Well, moss...I read the entire thing and I gotta hand it to you, the car looks pretty great.
That having been said, fix that intake. It's trash. Actually it's the worst piece of driveway engineering I've ever seen, and it brings down the rest of the car. I only care so much because you made that old trooper car look so damn good but you still can't pop the hood without being laughed at.
