B/c very few ppl are ricers on here who are going to have a black hood on their true red car. Doesn't look good at all. Plus why do you want one? To get weight down? Cause they aren't lighter (least the ones I've seen available). So that means looks...and its already been put in the Ricer Handbook to have a carbon fiber hood while the rest of your car is a totally different color.

Come on guys, be easy on him.

It's mainly because no one has one. I've only seen one carbon fiber hood on a camaro, well ls1 camaro at least.

^^not to be mean, but those things just look stupid unpainted, I also doubt you would find one that actually fits good, just go to VFNfiberglass.com, they have great hoods....even though they are not carbon fiber

Dun think he asked your oppinion on what it looked like

But yes I know how it looks. It will be painted with the rest of the car, and left only the sides of the cowl in cf.

Now thats not such a bad idea. That would probably look pretty nice actually, a carbon fiber SS hood painted red while leaving the scoop unpainted.

Clever.

Personally I don't think it looks bad at all. And that "most painted, leave the scoop" idea sounds like it would look perfect with the right accessories to back it up (headlights, corners, etc.).

I believe that someone said that VFN can make any of their hoods in fiberglass as well.. But if you paint it its the only way that it will look good.. Never have been a fan of the hood being a different color..
