A friend of mine has his eyes on some ashanti rims (expensive *** rims that make CCWs look like bus fare
) , and wanted he to painted some of the spokes on the rim the same color of his car which is an Electron Blue 99 SS. I think it may look good, but what are your thoughts guys?

Just curious what color are you referring to as electron blue? To my knowledge the only blues in 99 from the factory for a Camaro were Navy Blue Metallic (NBM) and Bright Blue Metallic (BBM) and they didn't make a BBM SS. Thanks

When its done, you do it when you have a new car or recently repainted the car a custom color, and then you match the rims......Other wise its really hard to match the rim paint to the cars paint....
I liked the colored match Lambos...

First off Asanti wheels are directed towards a crowd totally different from the muscle car crowd...no offense intended. Those are usually overdone styles (most ugly as hell, IMO). Any wheel could be painted or powercoated to match a car but it most be done tastefully to look okay. Best results I have seen are with black or white cars. Other than those colors becomes very difficult to make it look good.

Oldsmobile were the only people I've seen do this right. A very hard thing to do and to have look legitimate (other than black...and you have to be careful even with all black).

Regardless of the color of the car.. I think it's a bad idea. I've got absolutely nothing against the blue wheels on the 30th TA... but that's not a "color matching" wheel, it's just a wheel that goes with the overall scheme of the car.
