Tell me what you think of these stripes
Good or bad, politely post your thoughts. Be honest, but not rude please.
This is to be more of a dedicated race car than a street car, and I'm over 40 years old so I like old school style, and impressing teenagers really isn't a priority to me.
The top picture is the car as it arrived yesterday.......
The chopped picture adds painted body colored mirrors, M/T ET Drag Wheels, and an old style stripe in gold. It will have a narrowed rear end so the deep wheels are accurate.
The car is bright metallic green with tan interior, so I am limited to stripe colors completely. Back in the late 60's green/gold combos were very popular. I like the green/gold, but don't think many will admit they do.....lol

I'm not crazy about it but I don't think it looks terrible either. With tan interior it makes sense, but I personally hate tan interior... I'm sure some people that like tan would like it though.
I really like BGM, if it were I think I'd just leave it as it is... doesn't need any stripes!!

Yeah, me too.......... they came on the car...........
I'm keeping the car hidden in the garage so my neighbors don't think I've lost my mind, until I can change wheels/tires........ lol

I think if you do that, go with what they call "Old Gold" instead. That way it'll flow more with the tan, and not stick out nearly as much (mainly being it tends to be a metallic like color).
But, IMO if you do that I would go with a similar coated/painted rim. That way, you wont end up with green, gold/tan, black and silver in the scheme.

I was never actually thinking of bright gold metallic...... I was thinking more of a tan/beige stripe to match the interior as closely as I could, but trying to explain that would have been murder here on this site. I also tried Weld Magnum wheels with gold centers........ that looked bad to me, so that's out.

it still looks good with the black top, tinted windows help with that... but it'd look good body color too

Here's one.......... and I like it all one color...............
Tinted windows don't pass NHRA tech, so what's left of that in my pictures came off last night.
Here's a 6 cylinder car with green roof that I chopped Weld Magnums on......... didn't really like that look.
